About This Class

What makes Physics such a challenging class? In many ways, it's because you're facing a hard math class and a hard science class at the same time. Physics builds on and requires the steady use of concepts from several years of math: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus concepts all apply. And that's why students love the Math Essentials for High School Physics class, a back-to-school refresher on the math skills you need to know but haven't seen or used in months (or years). From quadratics to vectors, you'll accelerate your mathematical muscle memory and carry math momentum through the first semester of physics. This class will help with any type of high school physics class, including general and honors physics and all four flavors of AP Physics, as well.
