SAS Inequality
A relatively simple principle called SAS inequality lets us solve triangles without actually doing any complicated math. Let''s see how it works:
What is SAS inequality?
SAS stands for "side-angle-side." Here''s how SAS inequality works:
If one triangle has two sides that are congruent to the two sides of a second triangle
And:
If the first triangle has an angle that is greater than the angle of the second triangle
Then:
We know that the third side of the first triangle must be longer than the third side of the second triangle.

Based on the above triangles, the equation for SAS inequality is simple:
