It is my job to make whatever the student is struggling with personal or stated in a way that makes it click. I went to the University of Central Florida and majored in Sociology focusing on youth. I started out volunteering with an organization called Youth for Christ and discovered that working with youth is what brings me the most joy. When an opportunity to volunteer teaching students who had been in trouble with the law came up I jumped on it. These kids required me to not only help the students understand a specific concept but to help them to see the value in understanding the concepts at all. I fell in love with tutoring through that organization because when students struggle with school they will often unknowingly feel a sense of shame that goes pretty deep, when they are able to finally understand what they are struggling with it helps to build their grades as well as their confidence. I love getting to be the person who helps them feel that sense of accomplishment.

I love the beach, I'm very involved in my church and cooking.
