About Me

Being the oldest of 4 daughters, I bear a lot of responsibilities. Early on I was expected to be a good role and set good examples for my younger sisters both at home and at school. While at home I helped with chores and babysitting, I worked hard at school to earn straight As. As I succeeded academically, I helped my younger sisters with school as they struggled. Eventually, I realized how much I enjoyed tutoring children and started tutoring other children around the neighborhood. When I turned 16, I volunteered at the local community center as a Sunday school teacher and tutored children in the areas of math, reading, writing, and science. I also worked as a tutor at my highschool's tutoring center. Now, as an undergrad student, I work as a tutor at the university's Writing Center and tutor children through Varsity Tutors. I've worked with student ages 6-17 and worked mostly on writing skills, reading comprehension, geometry, and algebra.
