After I graduated from high school, I got my bachelor's in Fine Arts from Tufts University and a CTEFL certificate from Boston Academy of English. For the past 5 years, I've been living and working in Laos, where I've had the pleasure of teaching so many incredible students. In my previous job, I taught English in classrooms, tutored individual students, provided online classes, and even helped to developed workshops in subjects like environmental protection, computer basics, and menstrual health. I trained adults to teach English as a second language and get comfortable teaching in front of a class, often for the first time! I have found that teaching English has allowed me to travel the world and make a difference in the lives of so many students, young and old! I hope someday to start my own English center and social enterprise here in Laos with my husband. When I was younger, I always dreamed of being an art teacher. Although it is not as useful a subject in my current location, it is one I'm very passionate about. I think art is an incredible form of expression and with more or more opportunities to earn money online through creative media, it's a great way to get a head start!

I love nature and farming. Living in Laos, I'm so lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible landscapes! On the weekends, we sometimes take trips to the local waterfalls. And during the harvest season, we plan to help my husband's family to harvest their fields. My favorite thing to do on the farm is feeding the ducks! I also love to make funny and educational videos with my friends. I really enjoy writing, both for pleasure and for work. I've written a book and several informative essay-style blogs for my previous employer. And of course, I love drawing and painting, though I wish I had more time to do it!
