Mohammed
- I tutor math and science at various grade levels.
- I try to make learning efficient by recognizing problem areas early.
About Me
Having studied Neuroscience at NYU, I am passionate about using my knowledge and skills to help others, particularly in the areas of development and education. Motivated by the question of what makes learning exciting and memorable, I studied the cognitive and behavioral processes that underlie our perceptions, emotions, and decisions. I am particularly interested in the development of independent thinking and self-directed learning. I am committed to using my skills to support and empower individuals as they navigate their educational journeys.
Hobbies & Interests
I play piano and am training my ear to play jazz after learning from classical pieces. I enjoy cooking and baking where I similarly try to improvise now that I've acquired the backbone of French techniques. I also go on runs a few times a week and have recently started on an iFit subscription. I read classic literature but mostly fiction and poetry from the early 20th century and philosophy from a few decades afterward.
