About Me

I am a teacher with over 13 years of experience teaching English Language Arts and poetry. I am a highly accomplished vocalist and spoken word artist, having performed all over the U.S. and internationally. I am also an audio engineer and producer with industry experience in radio (StoryCorps.org), as well as a certified mindfulness and meditation instructor. Writing, grammar, literature, and public speaking are my favorite subjects to tutor. I motivate my students to reach their potential with every project they take on. My goal as an educator is to spark joy and excitement during the learning process and set my students up for success. I love to teach adults and children of all ages. I am a born storyteller, and I enjoy helping others tell their stories with passion and purpose. I have a BA in English Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry and am an MFA candidate in Poetry at Queens University of Charlotte. My writing has been published in several literary journals, including *Thread* and *Coastlines*.Outside of teaching, reading, and writing, I love singing, crocheting, enjoying delicious food, and spending time with my loved ones.
