About Me
I found myself falling in love with the idea of having an entire class of students for the day, which in turn caused me to switch gears, take extra classes and earn my K-6th grade Teaching Certification. I have taught 5th grade, Kindergarten, 1st grade and also worked as the school librarian over the course of 15 years and absolutely loved seeing the growth of each and every student I had the honor of teaching. Before teaching, I even worked in Japan as an English teacher to students from age 3-adult! Phonics, reading, spelling, language and writing are some of my favorite subjects to teach. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to receive the best education possible, and I strive to do just that. Learning is different for every child, and finding what works for each individual student is imperative to their success. My role to assist each child in their academics is a gift and an honor, and I cannot wait to witness the little light bulbs go off in their mind as they grasp concepts that will forever stay engrained in their educational journey.
Hobbies & Interests
I absolutely love anything to do with the Florida Gators...cheering on their football and gymnastics teams are my favorite! I also love to visit coffee and boba tea cafe's. Listening to music written and performed by my son and looking through my daughter's art work and website is at the top of my list!
