I love teaching students to do the best job they can do. Whether it be reading a book, mastering grammar skills and sentence structure, enhancing vocabulary, or writing a paper, my goal is to make students feel confident about the work they have to present. It is my philosophy that students stay motivated by connecting reading to their personal interests, giving them autonomy over their choices, and focusing heavily on their progress rather than just their mistakes. When reading shifts from a chore to a meaningful achievable activity, student engagement naturally increases. Excellent communication skills via reading and writing are truly the gateway to success. We use those skills in everything we do. I have taught English, reading and writing to middle school, high school and college students. I want all of my students to know English can be fun.
