Hi, my name is James, and I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Central Florida, graduating in May 2025. I have a strong passion for teaching and tutoring. I have experience tutoring students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as at the college level through a peer tutoring program provided by my university. During my engineering studies I have taken advanced mathematics and physics courses that have provided me with the knowledge to tutor effectively. These courses include: calculus I-III, differential equations, classical mechanics (physics 1), electromagnetism (physics 2), thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics. My goal is to make these topics easier to understand and show students that they can succeed. I find great joy in seeing students gain confidence and begin to enjoy subjects they once struggled with. I believe that education is about more than just teaching - it's about building trust and helping students believe in themselves. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy hiking, playing guitar, video games, reading, watching movies, and sports.
