I hold a Bachelor's degree in Media Entrepreneurship from Georgia State University. With over eight years of experience tutoring middle and high school math, I specialize in guiding students through subjects like middle school math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. My background includes two years as a certified math teacher in Georgia, where I taught middle school math and gained extensive training in differentiation and engagement techniques through professional development and on-the-job experience. My favorite subject to tutor is 8th-grade math, as I've had the most experience with it and have developed many creative strategies to make the subject fun and accessible. Whether it's solving equations, exploring geometric concepts, or preparing students for advanced math courses, I strive to make math approachable and enjoyable for every learner. My teaching philosophy emphasizes personalized instruction, patience, and encouragement. I tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of my students, helping them build a strong foundation, boost their confidence, and achieve academic success. I particularly enjoy working with students one-on-one, where I can focus on their individual learning styles and ensure they feel supported. After two years in the classroom, I transitioned to private teaching and online tutoring to better connect with students and provide more flexible, focused support. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active through workouts and taking long walks with my dog, Willow.
