About Me

Everyone is naturally good at math. If you believe otherwise, I'd be happy to prove it to you! Math anxiety is real, and it's okay to have math anxiety. Sometimes, we need to hear things in a specific way to understand them- and that is what math gives us: The ability to understand multiple perspectives so we can grow. I started tutoring during college, in 1999, and I have been blessed to teach students with different educational goals from many different backgrounds since then. I struggled in high school because none of my teachers explained things the way I needed them explained. That drove me to educate myself and find creative ways to learn what I needed and what I wanted. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2006 from Southern Polytechnic State University. My grandfather and grandmother taught Math and Education classes at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), so I got my love for teaching quite honestly. I have over 20 years of experience teaching every age nearly every subject. My passion is mathematics, and I absolutely love writing papers and helping others learn.
