About Me

I am passionate about helping students build confidence and fluency in Spanish and English as a Second Language. Originally from Colombia, I bring a deep appreciation for language and culture that enriches my teaching. With a Ph.D. in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Georgia and over 15 years of experience, I have guided learners of all ages, from beginners discovering their first words to advanced students preparing for the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam or international learners preparing for English proficiency exams. Language learning is most effective when it is interactive, supportive, and relevant to real-life situations. My tutoring style combines conversation, grammar, and cultural context, enabling students not only to understand the language but also to feel confident using it in meaningful ways.
