About Me
I grew up in Hyde Park, attending the University of Chicago Lab School, where I developed a deep appreciation for rigorous academic inquiry and critical thinking. After transferring from Emory, I graduated with honors from Northwestern University with dual degrees in American Studies and Political Science. I'm passionate about helping students find their voice, whether that's crafting compelling college essays, developing strong analytical arguments, or building confidence in standardized testing. Having navigated the transfer process myself and grown up immersed in a highly academic environment, I understand what makes applications stand out and how to help students articulate their ideas authentically. I particularly enjoy working on writing and critical reading, areas where I've seen students make transformative progress. Outside of academics, I spent a summer at Middlebury achieving B2 proficiency in Russian, played club rugby at Northwestern, and have been playing bluegrass banjo and guitar for nearly a decade. I'm currently on a gap year in London, but I'm eager to work with students and fully available to accommodate American time zones. I believe learning should be both challenging and rewarding, and I'm committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
Hobbies & Interests
I've been playing bluegrass banjo and guitar for nearly a decade and love jamming with other musicians whenever I can. I'm always up for pickup basketball—it's a great way to stay active and meet people. I'm an avid reader, particularly drawn to history and Russian literature (Dostoevsky is a personal favorite). I also follow world events closely, especially developments in international politics and how they shape everyday life. Living in both the US and abroad has given me a new perspective on global affairs and the chance to explore our evolving world in real time.
