I'm New York City born and raised. I graduated from the University of Chicago last year with a degree in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. I am developing my own teaching methods to evolve traditional East Asian and French language acquisition, and to do this I need even more experience. My course of study has been directed at learning as much as I can about the culture, economy, and history of East Asia, China and Japan in particular. I view myself as someone who is entrepreneurial, collegial, individually motivated to produce high quality work, as well as foster a love of the subject which I teach. I am compassionate and enjoy working with both children and adults. I believe I have something to learn from everyone I meet.

I am a third-year undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University studying Voice and Opera Performance with minors in Music Education and French and Francophone Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher because I love working with students to help them achieve mastery of their subject(s)!

I am a recent graduate of Wagner College who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in French. I am currently a RN at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Pediatric ICU and come with fresh experience in NCLEX/TEAS test prep and clinical fieldwork. I have tutored students in the past with Kumon, in private, and while in university, so I'm very familiar working with students of all ages (children and adults alike), and very excited to begin work with Varsity Tutors! I'm a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Political Science and Urban Studies with a minor in French. Education is what I believe to be the key to success and the door that opens up a better tomorrow. Elsie grew up in France, and continued to learn languages in immersion programs, study abroad semesters, and fascinating courses through graduate school. They have worked with multilingual students in elementary schools, immersion academies, tutoring programs, and in university courses. They also speak German, a little bit of Italian, and has an ever-growing "languages to learn" list.

I am a law student and a paralegal. I am excited about opportunities to help people and teaching has always been one of my passions. Inevitably, I always find myself drawn to academia and I think this is just an extension of that desire. I can't wait to help you succeed.

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in French Studies at UCLA finishing my dissertation about contemporary French literature. My main research specializations are French language and literature. However, I also have a certification in critical theory and conduct research in cultural studies and music history.
