I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

I secretly love when people call me a nerd. I believe that enjoying school and having an interest in learning about how the world works are wonderful qualities in a person. Many children say they hate school and it is just because they are having a hard time understanding the material and how it will apply to their lives. I believe that by bringing a child's interests into their school work and helping them to understand, they can develop the desire to want to further their learning.

I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at Penn State. I then plan to attend graduate school to continue my education -- I wish I could stay in school forever and learn about everything!

Throughout my college career, and even in high school, I have dedicated most of my free time to mentoring and tutoring children and teenagers in math and science. I have a very easy time relating to people of all ages and a gift for explaining complicated topics in an easy to follow manner.

Please let me know how I can help you or your child better understand your/their schoolwork and gain a love for learning!
