Eighth grade students seeking admissions into a New York Catholic high school are allowed to take the TACHS only once. A tutor imparts critical test-taking skills in addition to the academic foundation necessary for your child to succeed on the TACHS. The TACHS is a two-and-a-half-hour test that covers four sections. These include Reading: Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension; Language: Spelling, Capitalization, Punctuation, Usage and Expression; Math: Concepts, Estimation, Problem Solving; and Data Interpretation Ability: Similarities and Changes and Abstract Reasoning.
