What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During the first session, I will meet with the student and discuss what he/she hopes to achieve during our tutoring sessions. I will learn about the student's interests, his/her learning styles, and subjects needing assistance to create a personal tutoring plan moving forward.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help a student become an independent learner by giving them the tools to succeed. We will start with the basics of the subject, and I will guide them through their homework or study material to boost their confidence in the subject. In addition, I will provide tips and other learning tools that the students will be able to use for help in the future.
