Ana

Certified Tutor

I am a graduate from McGill University, B.A., in Economics and Sociology with a minor in Film Studies. When I first began learning English, I was easily intimidated by long study hours with books talking about topics that had lots of complex vocabulary. And as I kept getting low English scores, I made it my mission to find a more entertaining and easier way to learn. I have always loved movies, so that's what I did. I began watching more movies and gaming while making an effort read the captions to understand better the context of these. My English went from 50 scores to one of the best students in the class in a few weeks.
Today, as I teach English and Spanish students, I want to be that guidance in their lives, that person that says: It's okay to be different and learn in your own way. Finding your passion, and using the language as a tool to expand your talents is the best way to learn.
