I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

I am proud to be a part of Varsity Tutors! I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.
I am working toward an MD at Stanford University. I am happy to help with MCAT, SAT, SAT subject, AP test prep, and general academic subjects. Throughout my 8 years of experiencing tutoring middle school and high school students, I aim to help students raise their test scores through targeting points of weakness and developing the tools to conquer those areas. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running, listening to music, traveling, and reading.
I'm a writer and editor with a passion for learning that I love to share -- I've been told my tag line should be "let's find out!" I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.
I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I am really excited to be tutoring for Varsity tutors because I really enjoy helping students with subjects that gave me trouble in school. I hope that my time spent developing strategies to learn and absorb the tough material can help you succeed.
I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.
I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.
I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. I'm currently a freshman at Rice University studying Neuroscience and Psychology on the premed track. I am incredibly passionate about learning; my favorite subjects are science and history. I've tutored high school biology, middle school science, English, and math, as well as elementary school English, science, and math in the past. I'd also love to help students be successful at standardized testing such as the SAT and help students by editing essays, whether for a class or for the college application process. I am a virtual tutor and would love to connect over Zoom. I hope I can help you!
I am an undergraduate student at Rice University pursuing a B.A. in Neuroscience with minors in both Business and Biochemistry and Cell Biology. I also compete athletically at the NCAA Division 1 level as a member of Rice's Men's Cross Country and Men's Track and Field teams.
I am a current teacher in Dallas ISD. Other than being a passionate Horned Frog, I also love music and theatre. I cannot wait to meet you and see you grow and succeed!
I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Logical Reasoning section makes up half of your LSAT score (two 35-minute sections with ~25 questions each). It tests your ability to analyze arguments, identify logical flaws, and draw conclusions—skills that are fundamental to success in law school. Mastering this section is often the key to a competitive LSAT score, since many test-takers find it more challenging than Reading Comprehension.
Students typically struggle with three main areas: (1) understanding the question stem before reading the passage, (2) identifying the core argument and distinguishing it from supporting details, and (3) managing time while carefully analyzing dense, abstract reasoning. Many students also find it hard to recognize recurring question types—like Assumption, Strengthen/Weaken, and Flaw questions—which each require different strategies.
Score improvement depends on your starting point and effort level, but most students see meaningful gains by focusing on question-type recognition and developing a consistent problem-solving approach. With targeted practice and personalized feedback, students often improve by 3-7 points on the LSAT overall, with Logical Reasoning improvements ranging from eliminating careless errors to mastering previously unfamiliar question types.
A tutor can identify your specific weak spots—whether that's Assumption questions, timing issues, or misreading argument structures—and create a focused study plan instead of drilling every question type equally. Personalized 1-on-1 instruction also gives you immediate feedback on your reasoning process, helps you avoid reinforcing bad habits, and teaches you to recognize patterns across similar questions rather than memorizing individual answers.
Most LSAT prep involves 60-80+ official practice tests, but quality matters more than quantity. Rather than rushing through full tests, work on individual Logical Reasoning sections untimed to build accuracy first, then gradually add time pressure. A tutor can help you review your mistakes systematically—identifying whether you misread the question, made a logical error, or simply ran out of time—so each practice test strengthens your weak areas.
Most test-takers should aim for 1.5-2 minutes per question, but the best approach is to work through easier questions quickly and spend more time on harder ones. A key strategy is reading the question stem first (before the passage) so you know what to look for, which saves time and improves accuracy. Tutors can teach you to recognize which question types you handle fastest and help you develop a personalized pacing plan based on your strengths.
Your first session typically includes a diagnostic assessment—working through a few Logical Reasoning questions to identify your strengths and specific challenges. The tutor will ask about your target score, study timeline, and any particular question types that frustrate you, then create a customized study plan. This foundation helps ensure every subsequent session targets your actual weak spots rather than generic LSAT prep.
Confidence comes from mastery and repetition. By working through questions systematically with a tutor, you'll develop reliable strategies and see measurable improvement, which naturally reduces anxiety on test day. Tutors also teach you how to manage time pressure, recover from a difficult question, and maintain focus during the full 35-minute section—practical skills that make the test feel less overwhelming.
