I am a fully certified NYS Math Teacher who majored in Mathematics and then completed my Master's Degree in Education at Stony Brook. I have more than ten years of teaching experience with students at all levels of learning. I absolutely love to teach! I find it vital to form a bond with my students, to get to know them and really find out what they like, what they are good at, and what will help them to be successful. I have well practiced methods for helping students learn new material and re-learn old or difficult material. I also incorporate methods that help to greatly reduce anxiety and actually make math fun! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my four year old, Julia, and my crazy dog, Albie. I love to be outdoors, hike, garden and read. I am also doing volunteer fundraising this year, so I am really excited about some of the projects that are coming up to help others get some of the important things that they need. I can't wait to work with your student!
