I am originally from San Antonio, TX; I completed my undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston where I received a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.

I am a rising sophomore at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I am majoring in Social Policy Analysis with minors in global health technologies and biochemistry and cell biology. I am passionate about refugee advocacy, global health, and women's education. I am also on the pre-med track and hope to go to medical school after Rice. I have tutored for four years in high school and have a younger sibling that I have tutored in the ACT and standardized tests. I am pretty flexible and look forward to working with any new students.

I am happy to call Houston home now! I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Art History and Child Development and completed my master's degree in Communications at the American University of Paris.

I am originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia and graduated from Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology in 2016. With a full ride scholarship, I am currently a sophomore at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science while also pursuing the pre-medical track. Since beginning college, I have been given the opportunity to tutor a variety of students. I began volunteering in my freshman year with the Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees in which I tutor refugee high school students with their coursework assessments, and English skills. I have also volunteered with the International Rescue Committee to tutor refugee adults in improving their English. In addition, I have worked with the Rice University Athletic Department to tutor athletic students in areas such as chemistry and mathematics. While I can tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology. Because I believe the education is an important tool to empower students to reach their future goals, I hope to help students reach their academic potential by tailoring my tutoring sessions to them. Besides school work and tutoring, I enjoy running, reading, and Netflix shows such as Parks and Rec.

I'm currently a freshman at Rice University studying applied math. I've always had a love for sharing knowledge with others, and I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school. As a former AP student and a National AP Scholar, I have the experience necessary to guide my students through challenging curriculum. Hello! My name is Connor, and I am a Bioengineering student at Rice University with a strong background in physics, mathematics, chemistry, and standardized test preparation. I scored a 1550 on the SAT and earned a 7 in IB Higher Level Physics. I enjoy helping students build a deep understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. I am a Texas state and Ohio state licensed teacher, currently teaching 4th grade at a public elementary school in Houston. In my eight years of teaching, I have taught Chinese language and culture to elementary, middle and high school students. In the mean time, I directed language enrichment program and developed curriculum for all K-12 grade levels.

I am able to tutor in most math, chemistry, and physics subjects at levels from middle school through college. I can also provide tutoring in some SAT and SAT 2 subject tests. My favorite subject to tutor is math. I have loved math for as long as I can remember. To me, solving a math problem is like solving any other problem in life - you combine the information you are given, assumptions you can make, and your expertise and prior knowledge to derive a conclusion. I appreciate being able to help students develop these types problem solving skills through math because of how applicable they are to non-math scenarios.

I am a Communications Major with a penchant for reading, writing, some math, and film! (I picked up a Cinema Studies Minor as well) I used to be an editor in a few newspapers, so I love working with others to improve their writing skills. I have tutored many areas in both high school and college and have coached softball to girls of many ages. I especially love helping students master their test-taking skills, because I understand what it was like having to navigate such a high pressure environment! Providing just a few tools can make a world of difference.

I am a current student at Rice University studying Mathematics and Computer Science. I have lots of tutoring experience, having tutored kids at my high school and at-risk youth. I know how intimidating asking for help can be, which is why I make a point of being patient and respectful with all of my students. I think it's important for students to understand that getting tutoring can be a stress-free and beneficial decision. I have always loved math, and I am able to tutor in pre-algebra, algebra, AP Calculus AB and BC, multivariable calculus, and high school physics. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the guitar and rock climbing.

I am a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science at Rice University in Houston, TX. Naturally, my favorite subjects to teach are math and computer science, particularly programming languages like Python, Java, and Scratch. I have found great enrichment in these seemingly daunting areas, and I hope to make them more easily accessible for others. As a founding member of the Ready for College Leadership club (RCL), I mentored high school freshmen and sophomores to help them succeed in high school and prepare for college admissions, while also providing academic aid. The best part of working with students is watching them grow not just as a learner, but also as a thinker. I always encourage students to be curious and let their true interests be incorporated into lessons. In my spare time, I love learning languages; I am a heritage Spanish speaker and a self-taught Portuguese speaker. I also enjoy playing guitar and practicing new songs to sing.
