In college, I worked with both Georgetown University Young Scholars, a mentoring program and DC Reads, a program specifically designed to eradicate illiteracy in students of DC Public Schools. Through these programs, I worked with students from the age of 5 to 18 years old. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Comprehension and other English/Literature focused areas. Through my tutoring sessions, I make it a point to develop a trusting relationship with my students, opening an open dialogue and allowing for the most productive and effective sessions possible. I truly believe that education is a determinant of subsequent successes and as such, should be a priority in our communities. That is a mission that I strive to impart upon my students, their parents and members of my community.
