I graduated from Connecticut College in 2014 where I majored in English with a minor in film studies; I plan to eventually pursue a PhD in English Literature. Additionally, I have helped students develop close reading strategies across the humanities, particularly in the area of U.S. History, one of my personal favorite subjects. My approach to tutoring tends to revolve around questions; I often begin sessions simply by having the student describe what it is they wish to gain from the time we have and then changing our focus accordingly. Outside of academia my hobbies/interests include reading, screenwriting, classical Hollywood cinema (Hitchcock in particular), cooking, and improvisational comedy.
