I graduated this past December with a major in Psychology and minor in Children's Studies, and am now finishing up Physical Therapy Graduate prerequisites. I have loved working with children as I taught dance throughout middle school and high school. I began tutoring elementary school students in middle school and continued onto higher grade levels in high school. Tutoring immediately became a positive new way for me to help others. Last year I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark and was able to teach English to middle and high schoolers in a Danish school. I now tutor math for both middle school and high school students, as well as math ACT prep. I feel it is important to make my tutoring specific to each child's needs in order to ensure a positive experience. I believe it is important to make sure my students are able to break problems into pieces so their understanding goes beyond the single problem in front of them. By understanding the steps, it increases the chance of successfully completing a similar, yet different looking problem.
