I learned then that I had a knack for helping others understand math concepts. I did some tutoring in college and after graduation worked for several tutoring organizations before becoming an actual classroom teacher with Teach For America. Being in the classroom had its challenges and I realized I am more suited to one-on-one interaction with students where I can cater the teaching style to a student's specific needs. Since being a classroom teacher, I have volunteered with GED students with Urbana Adult Education in Urbana, Illinois. Currently, I am back in school and working full-time.
