About Me

My name is Elise Newman and I am a recent graduate of MIT. I will be pursuing a PhD in the fall and have some time off this summer. While at MIT, I came to really enjoy teaching. I have degrees in Physics and Linguistics, and am proficient in a variety of subjects including (but not limited to) math, physics, English, and foreign languages. I am fluent in German (both speaking and reading), and I studied Spanish extensively in school. My teaching experience includes tutoring throughout middle and high school, as well as several teaching assistantships at MIT. I am familiar with many different types of learning styles and feel comfortable adapting explanations to new students.
