I earned my B.A. in Mathematics from Skidmore College and M.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education from City College. I am a Master teacher with Math for America, and I write Common Core Algebra curriculum. At my current school, my work in the classroom has resulted in pass rates on the Common Core Algebra Regents improving from 32% to 83%. I love what I do, and my goal is to always create relationships with students that allow them to thrive. Connecting the work to student interests, allowing for discussion, incorporating humor, and addressing text anxiety, are among the few strategies that have resulted in my students' academic achievement. I'm all about building students' confidence with the subject and creating an environment where they feel comfortable making and learning from mistakes. I am excited to share my knowledge and love of math with students outside of my classroom. Let's work!
