Greetings! I am passionate about helping students to express themselves more precisely and concisely, in keeping with the two most valued qualities in English language writing. I began teaching writing during my graduate education at Columbia University's School of the Arts, where I earned my MFA in Writing. In addition to teaching the required essay writing course for two years at Columbia, I spent a year on the faculty of Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. I have also worked in numerous writing centers in NYC. I have experience teaching everything from poetry to policy writing, and I enjoy the challenges of helping students to succeed no matter the genre.
