About Me
Quickly I realized that I had a gift and passion for education. I would go on to work for a semester as a teaching assistant at Western Carolina University. I taught college freshmen in the American History seminar. I received my BA in History from Lee University in 2016. While attending Lee, I discovered one of my other passions, comedy. Currently I perform improv comedy and stand-up weekly in Chattanooga. In addition to history and comedy, I enjoy writing, reading (especially modern American Literature), and listening to folk music. I am excited for the opportunity to work with students who are ready to learn and value critical thinking and knowledge as much as they value test scores. While I do think test scores and grades are crucial to continuing education and reflecting the progress a student has made, gaining knowledge and learning how to think critically about what is learned is equally crucial.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy comedy of all types, theatre, playing guitar, writing poetry, reading, playing Skyrim, and going to the movies.
