With nearly two decades of experience in education, I've taught in bilingual Spanish elementaryclassrooms, ESL programs for children and adults in Ecuador, after school Spanish language programs, and piano and general music instruction to all ages in group and individual classes. The students I work with achieve exceptional results by learning how to set high standards for themselves, recognize each victory as they go, and become their own advocates for success. The joy of seeing that light bulb go off during moments that seem so brief but are really important milestones in a child's learning journey and their gleaming smile when they can FEEL the progress they are making these are the things I have enjoyed most about working with children.

I enjoy playing piano in my spare time, especially Bach, Chopin and Debussy. I’m working on my musical chops in jazz and self accompaniment while singing in English and Spanish, which is great fun. During the summer I love walking in the park, and for more active exercise my favorite thing to do is swim. Next on my to-do list? Yoga!
