I have over 10 years of experience working with children and young students in a variety of different roles and settings; teacher, tutor, nanny, and intern. I have tutored young children in head start programs to improve their English and have assisted in literacy and writing readiness for preschoolers in a preschool cooperative in Brooklyn, NY. After extensive travel throughout Southeast Asia and Mexico, I have learned and have come to appreciate the value of the English language and the role it plays around the world. I am passionate about helping elementary students improve their reading, writing, and study skills as these skills are necessary for all subject areas. I am a strong believer in meeting students where they are in their learning and creating engaging activities that help them reach their full potential. In my free time, I love reading books on entrepreneurship and the environment, traveling, running, and the intense, but always worth the intensity, kickboxing.
