About Me
After graduation, I began as a long-term high school Spanish substitute. My love of languages, cultures, and education brought me to Colombia, where I taught English and Social Studies. I have worked with diverse student populations, including low-income and students with learning disabilities. Alongside teaching, I have privately tutored in Algebra II, ESL, and SAT prep. After my love of languages comes my love of math. My mom is a high school math teacher and raised me to be a math nerd just like her. I try to overcome people's distaste of math by making it fun. Above all, I focus on test-taking and study strategies, something that I feels is overlooked by schools. I promote life-long learning, encouraging my students to dig deeper and never be afraid to ask 'why'. Education doesn't stop after you leave school. In high school, I played volleyball, attended Model UN conferences, and served as President of my high school's Habitat for Humanity chapter. Nowadays you can find me cooking, meditating, watching Jeopardy!, or playing board games.
