About Me
Prior to getting my master's degree, I studied Environmental Policy and Urban Studies at Colorado College. I have a diverse, interdisciplinary academic background which has instilled not only academic curiosity but an appreciation for ways of learning and teaching. As a tutor I'm interested in helping students develop ways of learning that are true to them. During my education, I've learned how important it is to understand what works for me as a student, which isn't always exactly what is prescribed in a classroom. This challenge requires creativity and adaptability, both of which are factors that really excite me and drew me to tutoring. I have experience working as a teaching assistant at Harvard Graduate School of Design and as a elementary school tutor at Harlem Academy in New York.
Hobbies & Interests
As a designer who works in cities, I take a lot of joy in going for long walks discovering new neighborhoods and places. I’m also a big history and botany nerd, walking allows me to go out an see that plant species or architectural styles I’ve read about. I also love hiking and camping and try to get out of the city to do this often.
