I am a graduate of Texas A&M University, where I received two Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Studies and a minor in Economics. At Texas A&M, I helped tutor at evening ESL adult classes and was the TA for two writing-intensive courses in International Current Events and Gender and the Global Modern. In my experience tutoring, I always had the most fun exploring and relating the never-ending complexity of language and culture to our studies. Since graduation, I have volunteered with several non-profits as a translator in Guatemala and a Grant-writer state-side. I taught Spanish III & IV at the high school level (both online and in-person). I also worked part-time at a Children's Home, where I offered free tutoring services for elementary through high school level kids in a variety of subjects during the stay-at-home era of COVID-19. I seek to not only educate but to empower young men and women in their abilities to learn and succeed. I am currently pursuing a Master of Social Work from one of the top programs in the country at the University of Pennsylvania. In my spare time, I find joy from being outside, hiking, biking, running, or playing the guitar. I love to explore and create. But overall, there is little I enjoy more than a cup of coffee and time with family and friends.

Professionally and academically, I have always been most interested in the narratives we tell and the art of language that enables us to tell them. I enjoy music, literature, writing compelling stories, watching authentic movies, and of course, all things Spanish. Outside of school and work, I absolutely love to bike, run, swim, and hike. Most of the time with my husband aka adventure buddy.
