With a dedication to service and drive to combat education inequality, I moved to New York City for a 2 year commitment with Teach For America, to teach Kindergarten in Brooklyn. During this time, I experienced the gaps in our education system and led my classroom with love in a high paced, emotionally demanding work environment. For my own mental health as an educator, I became a 250 hr Registered Yoga Teacher and have loved practicing and building a community with CorePower Yoga. My passion lies in socioemotional learning and mindfulness in everyday life. I graduated in June 2020 from Relay Graduate School of Education with a Masters of Arts in Teaching General and Special Education, grades 1-6. Currently I am a graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University for mental health counseling. In my free time, you can find me baking, planning my next trip, or working on a new yoga inversion.
