About Me
I have been teaching and tutoring LSAT prep for over ten years. I have a Bachelor's in English from the University of Dallas, a JD from Boston College Law School, a second Bachelor's in Music from Texas Woman's University, and a master's in Musicology (music history) from the University of North Texas. I practiced law for a little more than five years, first in Massachusetts, then in Texas (yes, I took and passed both bar exams the first time). I practiced predominately Immigration law, and left the practice of law because of a medical condition. When I stopped practicing is when I returned to school for my music degrees and started teaching. I love the LSAT because I think the questions are all fun puzzles and I can see the connections between the questions and skills I used as a lawyer. I enjoy working with students to help them find the tweaks to their thinking that help them work efficiently and accurately. I approach the material through dialogue with the student so that I can learn how the student sees the material and work together to identify key aspects of the test questions and how to distinguish right answers from wrong answers.
Hobbies & Interests
I love music and music making and sing at church. I also enjoy reading a wide range of things including sci-fi/fantasy, historical fiction, philosophy and theology. I also like puzzles and sewing and various nerdy activities with friends.
