After nearly 10 years as an academic advisor, I transitioned into the classroom, working primarily with middle school students in English/Language Arts and Social Studies. My passion has been to inspire students to take ownership of their education and discover their own academic and personal success goals. I believe that all students can be successful writers and strong readers, and become passionate about history.

My interests include genealogy, world history, women's rights, and middle eastern history. I enjoy knitting, cross stitch, sewing, and reading in my free time. I've also run five half marathons.
