About Me
I believe strongly that my time as a student didn't end when I left the classroom. I am constantly combing over my knowledge of all subjects of mathematics from the most basic to the most advanced in an effort to refine my knowledge and my teaching methods. I like to teach math the way I wish I was taught growing up; I always wanted to know "why?", and I wasn't always given an answer. Because of this, I've spent a lot of time really trying to fundamentally understand the subject so there are no questions we can't answer together. I've spent a lot of time connecting math concepts to real-life examples, and helping students make these connections too is very rewarding. While my professional expertise is in within the realm of math, I'm passionate about other subjects like history, languages, and politics. I've always felt that it was important to be well-rounded. This is why I joined the military, have a degree in math, have traveled the world, and continue to pursue my education in all subjects. It is this versatility combined with my knowledge that I believe will serve you, the student, best.
