I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in literature and World Languages with a concentration in French. I graduated summa cum laude with university honors as the student marshal for The College of Arts and Sciences. I am also a member of the national honor society, Phi Kappa Phi. I am now working towards my Master of Arts in English Literature and a graduate certificate in Women's and Gender Studies with plans to complete a graduate certificate in Autism Studies as well. I believe everyone deserves access to a meaningful education and I know that not everyone thrives with the same teaching methods or paces. This is why it is so important for educators to understand their students and work with them accordingly. I enjoy reading as a pastime and one of the reasons I advocate for reading all throughout life is that it cultivates empathy, a character trait that is absolutely invaluable in this world.
