Hello! My name is Gwen. I am a certified math and Spanish teacher in Michigan in the U.S.A. I love to travel--I have lived in Spain, Ecuador, and Peru. I lived in Huancayo, Peru, teaching English to students ages 5 to 40 during a Fulbright scholarship. I have taught English, math, and Spanish in both rural and urban schools (including rural Manistique, MI and urban New York City!). I love to help students learn a new language and culture and/or strengthen their mathematics skills. I love to run, hike, and do anything outside. Traveling is one of my favorite activities. I have traveled in the U.S., Europe, and South America. I have run 9 marathons, including the Boston marathon and plan to run many more in the future. I live in a beautiful part of the U.S.--right on Lake Superior. As a result, I love to explore hiking trails and spend time at the beach.
