Having taught public school Kinders-10th grade, homeschooled my own 4 children for 6 years, and am currently in my 9th year of exclusive online education, I feel very confident that I'm able to meet the educational needs of your student by connecting, finding their interests and strengths, then using those to work in their areas of struggle. My BA/MS degrees cover Education, Counseling, & Human Development. I was the director of a preschool for children with multiple challenges, and later, the director of a Day Program for adults with significant health, mental, and physical challenges. Now, I teach all Elementary and Middle School subjects, including, but not limited to ELA, phonics, public speaking, writing, math, science, social studies, ESL, testing, Executive Functions, SPED 3rd gr-up, and life skills to adults with special needs. Traveling to see my children and grandchildren spread across the United States is one of my favorite things to do! Geocaching is so much fun, and educational when I have a partner who will hunt treasures with me. I love to be creative, including painting, DIY home projects, and gardening. My husband and I enjoy hiking, visiting the mountains, going to the beach, and discovering new places, especially new and interesting local restaurants.
