About Me
I am a graduate of Virginia Tech and did my residency, internship and fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. There I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology. Since leaving Vanderbilt, where I was a co-investigator for several medications to treat Alzheimer's and other dementia etiologies, I have worked as a private practicing Neuropsychologist and have been a college professor in Psychology at the graduate and undergraduate level. I have found in my tutoring, mentoring and teaching that professional practice and academic work provide a real-world application context to the information my students are learning. Learning facts that presented with contemporary applications "sticks" far better than simple memorization; even the most basic and seemingly mundane information is applicable in real-life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working on and riding motorcycles, and enjoy online gaming.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy reading (military history, science non-fiction), working on and riding motorcycles, and MMORPG's.
