About Me

Throughout high school, I struggled in my Algebra classes, so I know what it is like to "not get it." As an adult, I FINALLY "got it!" I have been teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 for the past 25 years, and I would have to say that my passion is helping students who struggle like I did. I pride myself on being able to explain things in a way that my students understand what it is that I am talking about. My work experience also includes 12 years at the community college level teaching College Prep Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Algebra. I have a BBA in Marketing, Texas Secondary Math Teacher Certification, ESL Certification, and a MS in School Counseling. I love working with high school students and I find great joy when I see my students not only learning, but having fun while doing so.
