I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with my undergraduate degree in Environmental Education and Recreation and I received my masters in Education from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. I have a background teaching in various settings including being a naturalist, coach and group fitness instructor along with teaching elementary students. As a Title One interventionist I offered tutoring in schools to individuals and small groups in the subjects of math and reading. When I am teaching and tutoring I feel strongly that each student can be successful by nurturing their growth mindset and working with their individual learning style. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, knitting and doing yoga.

Much of my time is spent enjoying and doing things with my daughter. In my free time I enjoy to be outside no matter the season hiking, backpacking, gardening, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing and fishing. I also have a creative side and enjoy knitting.
