Drema
- I went to the University of Mary Washington to study environmental science and to get licensed to teach in the state of Viginia.
About Me
Afterwards, I went to Clark University to get my master's in environmental science and policy. In addition, I have a 120 hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate and a pass B in a CELTA . Since getting my degree, I have taught a variety of subjects; earth science, English, history, STEM, ESL and elementary math to a variety of ages. I have over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught elementary students in China, adults in Thailand, and secondary students here in the states. My favorite subject would have to be the sciences, because that is what I went to school for and what motivated me to love learning when I was younger. I absolutely love teaching using a hands-on approach, where the students are the main focus of the lesson. I see students succeed the most when they are the teachers. The greatest motivation for being a teacher is seeing students excel at something they find difficult. When that light bulb turns on for them, it always puts a smile on my face. I customize my lessons for the learners. no matter the subject, I prepare my lesson for each student I teach. Everyone has a certain way they learn and as your tutor, I will tap into that to get you to where you want to go.
Hobbies & Interests
I love to read, hike, bike, sightsee, and cook. I am a coffee lover, or what my students call teacher juice.
