My instructional background includes many years as a high-school classroom bilingual teacher, working with Spanish-speaking students as they earned their graduation credits in bilingual content courses, as well as teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) writing. Some of my favorite courses include Writing, History, and Social Sciences. One aspect of my teaching experience that I especially love is the ability to communicate in Spanish as well as in English. Additionally, I have taught ESL to adults, and phonics and reading to K-3 students. I love teaching and learning! For me, they are an unbeatable combination. The abilities to think analytically and choose wisely are the keys that can unlock potential. With those keys, a person can open any door. Learning is dynamic: it leads from one discovery to another. There is something magical about watching their faces light up when students 'get' something. An education is something no one can take away from a person; it transfers to whatever opportunities life offers and helps foster successful, healthy lives. Helping someone on their journey to becoming a life-long learner and doer is what fuels my passion for teaching and learning. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy running, cooking, and singing.

I enjoy singing, especially chamber and motet works. I maintain a keto vegetarian diet and I love to cook. I am also a runner.
