About Me

I am a graduate of Duquesne University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Broadcast. I also received a minor degree in French. I received a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Middle Childhood Education Grades 5-9, from Mercy College. I have also received teaching certifications in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. I am licensed to teach Elementary Education Grades K-6 in Pennsylvania, and I am licensed to teach Elementary Education Grades 1-6 and Middle Childhood Education Grades 5-9 in New York. Since attaining my degrees, licenses, and certifications, I have taught many grade levels that consisted of an array of students from different cultures, races, creeds, and nationalities. In my opinion, the most rewarding part of teaching and tutoring is watching students become enlightened in a variety of content areas that foster academic growth and creativity. I have been tutoring for about seven years now. I love to give each student one-on-one attention. That is why I enjoy tutoring. I believe the more attention a student gets, the more the student is able to learn and retain, which ultimately leads to academic success.
