I write every day and love helping find students their own voice. My college entrance essay is held up by Johns Hopkins as an example for other students. I spent the last year teaching students in a troubled Italian high school. I loved the challenge of working with unmotivated learners, and several of my students told me I was the best teacher they had had. Before that I worked as a freelance reporter for The Nation, and an editor at New York Focus, The South Side Weekly, and various publications in New York and Chicago. I know how to edit others work, clarify their views, and all in no-stress, timely manner.
