I have more than 25 years of business experience and 11 years of teaching experience. I love problem-solving, so a career in financial management was my fate. My most recent challenge was adjusting my teaching style to middle school students and relating studies to real-life experiences. Teaching Experience - College:Taught post-secondary education classes in Business Communication, Principles of Management, Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, and Introduction to Entrepreneurship from 2012 to 2019. I was an Adjunct Professor at the local community college. Teaching Experience Middle School:Since Oct. of 2019, I am teaching middle school business education classes for the state of North Carolina. My main focus is on introducing business concepts to primary school students in grades 6th-8th. I teach Business Activities, Business Procedures and Leadership, and Keyboarding and Word Processing fundamentals. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Management, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration in addition to post-secondary credits toward a Doctor of Education Degree. My teaching philosophy is "you are never too old to learn something new."I want to help other students appreciate the world as a classroom, where ideas and creativity is supported, assessed, and analyzed. With the right guidance, any student can become an experienced achiever, developing the foundation of their future. Bright-minded students need to be shaped and encouraged to envision their potential. We learn from our failures and become better with every opportunity that challenges us. This is how we can reach our full potential! Additional Business Experience: Co-Owner of two small businesses that were both profit-driven. A small vending machine business (Fla) for eight years completely "self-funded;" a small franchise (Fla) associated with real estate since 2015 (rehabs, rentals, and flip-N-retail). Familiar with Quickbooks for small businesses and the filing of federal/state taxes. I am a quick learner who is able to adapt to new challenges.

I am a Pickleball newcomer and tennis observer. I enjoy traveling both domestic and internationally. Reading non-fiction and true crime novels is how I relax. My hobbies are horseback riding, white water rafting, biking, and jogging. I like researching and writing in-depth resolutions to problems. During my professional career, I wrote manuals, step-by-step “to do” instructions, and financial proposals.
